JAMES COTIE MARSHALL
In 2014 Pittsburg Rodeo Association is saddened by the passing of friend, mentor, and the last of its founding members. James Cotie Marshall was a long time valued leader and guiding force to the association. He was instrumental in starting the first Pittsburg Handicapable Rodeo which has now run for 26 years serving hundreds of special needs children. James and his family worked diligently for many years to help make the rodeo the best it can be.
Safe journey home James, you will be greatly missed by all of the rodeo members.

Our 2015 Rodeo Information
May 7, 8, and 9 at 8:00 pm
Tickets: Gate opens at 7:30 each night
Thursday May 7th: is free entry for all generously provided by The Circle C Cowboy Church. Pittsburg Rodeo is grateful for their participation and we encourage you to take part!
Friday and Saturday nights May, 8 and 9:
Adults $10.00, Children 7 to 11 are $5.00, Children under 7 are free.
Competitors: Books are open May 4, and 5. All entrants/cowboys please call 903-623-4728 to sign up.
Back by popular demand is an always in demand announcer Jeff Lee who does a great job from horseback! Jeff hails from Arkansas but we don’t hold that against him.
Professional Bullfighters Willie Cline and Justin Shoemaker are longtime supporters of our rodeo. Not only do they protect the bull riders but help us out wherever needed.
The clown and funnyman this year is Ronald Burton so expect some great “Funnies”
Our stock contractor and friend of Pittsburg Rodeo is again Wing Rodeo Company. Owners Mr. Gerald Smith and Ms. JoAnne have long been our goto company for our stock. We appreciate the excellent animals they provide to make our rodeo outstanding.
Kids Events:
Mutton Bustin signup is at 6:00 pm nightly and entry is $25.00. The Money Drop will be going on each night too.
Our Handicapable Rodeo
Pittsburg Handicapable Rodeo is proud to be the First and Longest running of its kind in East Texas. It is a very special day for all our special friends thanks to Bubba Sample and our board members. We have preschool kids, school age kids, adults from group homes and adult daycare all attend. Some have been coming for years and tell us they wouldn’t miss it! Everyone is welcome. Come out and support the attendees. They love to see an audience that cheers them on!
2015 Event is Friday May 8, at 9:00 am ‘til the fun is over and kids are wore out!
We’ve got Ridin and Ropin and Bull Ridin. Weve got games, Music, Prizes, Snacks, Drinks, lots of friends volunteering and helping out!
